Field Adjuster Equipment: Non-Slip Shoes

Alright, let’s talk about non-slip shoes. I found a great pair at Walmart, usually priced between $25 and $50. They’re good for walking on roofs with smaller pitches, up to six-pitch.

Remember the orange tool I mentioned before? You use it to measure the roof’s pitch. These non-slip shoes work well for pitches up to six. Some people might use them on steeper roofs, but I’d recommend sticking to six or fewer.

A big plus with these shoes is they’re water-resistant. Regular sneakers can get soaked, especially in the mornings, with dew or mildew on the grass. But non-slip shoes keep your feet dry, which is helpful when checking for hail damage on windows, doors, or other exterior features.

They might not be the most stylish, but they sure do the job. You can choose between high-top or low-top, depending on what kind of ankle support you like. They’re a practical and affordable choice, saving your good sneakers from wear and tear.

Next up, I’ll talk about Cougar Paws – they’re a hit with roofers and adjusters. You can spot users easily; they’re the ones confidently moving across roofs. So, stay tuned for more field adjuster tips in our next video!
