Field Adjuster Equipment
Okay, let’s dive into what’s in my two-belt pouch. It’s a budget-friendly choice, decorated with stickers for easy ID.
I like to wear it all day to avoid the hassle of taking it on and off.
Here’s what I carry:
Pens: I have a bunch of red pens for scoping, especially when working with State Farm.
Pitch Gauge: This is key for knowing the roof’s pitch. I prefer mechanical gauges over digital ones.
Measuring Tape: Crucial for measuring indoors. A longer tape is usually better, but mine works fine.
Chalk: I use this a lot for marking roofs, indicating hits inside, marking metals on downspouts, and outlining metal vents on the roof. Chalk is super important, right after your camera.
About cameras, I don’t use the State Farm one, but they usually provide it. I suggest wearing the camera around your neck for quick access, especially useful when you’re on the roof in a tight harness.
Stay tuned for the next video, where I’ll talk about another great tool – the digital measure. See you soon!
